Pole Tour 1 To 8
There are 14 poles around
the center table. Each pole
has a freak elk at the
bottom and then a large
whitetail set. Next is a freak
mule deer set and the a
nice elk set. At the very top
is a very large mule deer
set. I'm not sure if the mule
deer looks bigger or smaller
framed in the elk set.
Some of these I found and
some I traded for. Just about
all of them have a story that
goes with them
The freak elk at the bottom of
this pole has bases you can't
get two hands around but only
three points on each side. It
also has worm like holes in the
skull and in the base of the
antlers.
I love the freak mule deer.
They almost touch at the top.
It is a little hard to see but the
freak elk on the bottom is a
very special bull. One side
has two bases. One antler
comes forward with a spike
that is over 2 feet long and the
other goes back for 2 1/2 feet.
The center poles on each
side have a freak whitetail
instead of a mule deer and a
second real nice whitetail.
That brow tine on the right
side is 10 inches long.
This elk freak has a base that
is bent out of the skull to the
side and part of his antler grew
down and the rest grew
straight up. That"s also a very
nice whitetail.
This freak elk comes out
normal but then the antler was
damaged and dips down and
then tries to come up normal.
The bull at the top is over 300
except he broke off the
second point up on the left
side.
The mule deer at the top is
not to wide but very tall.
The elk on the bottom has an
antler broken off half way up the
main beam. This is no small bull
and it makes you wonder how big
the other bull was that he was
fighting.
The mule deer at the top has
brow points that are 5 inches
long.
The freak mule deer in the
middle is a little unique.
Also, there are mule deer sets
on the back side of these poles
and shed 2 points up each side .
This is the last pole. The
freak elk at the bottom is
another one that the antler
comes out to the side of
his skull and doesn't make
much of an antler.
The mule deer freak is a
two point that curves down
and has about a 20 inch
spread on the right.
You are coming up the left
side of the building
towards the entrance.
This is one of the first elk
sets that I ever found and
being a not so bright kid I
decided to paint it brown
one day. I all so used
some of this brilliance on
a couple of deer sets.
